  • Update

Me:  So it's been a few days since I've done this.  What's new?  Some things change, some things never do.  Still no car.  This is the main reason for not posting.  No way to get to a computer with the net. I finally got internet at home.  This is the main reason for posting now.  Still not seeing anyone.  Mom had knee surgery early this month.  She has been off ever since.  She's hoping to back soon.  She is doing very well.  They found some tear and some other stuff and tried to fix it. I'm still living at Forty North apartments.  If you've ever been there then you know that's not good.  They are raising my rent $25 next year and the only bonus for resigning my lease is a $25 gift card.  I'm seriously thinking of moving.  I'm also thinking of getting a car.  I'd have to cut back on unnecessary expenses to do it.  It'd be hard, but I might just do it.  Maybe.  I like my unnecessary expenses.  Comics, toys, video games, cable, and internet are just a few of the things I would have to cut back or cut out.  I need a better job.

Job: Still at McDonald's.  I hate it more every day.  The new manager, Kevin, is a jerk.  He seems to like me, thankfully, but he treats other people like crap.  We've had so many people quit recently it's not even funny. Some of my favorite people have left.  It just sucks more than I can say.  We are short handed every day.  The worst is the early morning.  He thinks we only need two or three people to run the store.  He's just insane.  I know I've said it before, but I'm really going to start looking for something else very soon.  An old friend of mine, Brent, came back to work for us.  He lasted three days.  It's that bad.

Church:  A few months ago I started going to church again.  My mom, aunt, uncle, cousin, and I are going to Lifechurch.  It is an awesome experience.  We have a live band that plays contemporary christian music. The sermons are prerecorded and we watch them on big tvs.  At first I thought that was weird, but you get used to it.  We are one of several Lifechurches across the country and we all receive the same message every week.  I think it's pretty cool we all share in something that reaches people like that.  The messages are inspiring and entertaining.  The head pastor, Craig Groselle, is funny and informative. We have local pastors as well.  I hope to get more involved with the church.  I do sometimes feel like a little bit of a hypocrite there. I have done things I know go against God.  I'm gay for one.  I believe, and so does our church, that God loves us no matter what our mistakes.  I'm sure I'm not the only one who sometimes feel like they don't belong.  I hope to make friends there I can talk to about this.

Well, that's enough for now.  Hopefully I can continue to make some positive changes in my life.  I'll keep you posted.

  • Thursday: Slept in again.  So nice.  Monroe worked most of the day.  Also very nice.  Didn't do too much.  I put away laundry.  I read a few comics.  I went to my mom's and played a little bit of FFX.  We had Taco Bell for lunch.  We had a lot of fun.  Found a new area that very, very hard in the game.  Some ruins where a hidden aeon is supposed to be.  Went home and watched Smallville and Supernatural.  Both were pretty good, escpecailly Supernatural.  Read some more of Harry Potter.

Friday:  Work sucked.  The first part of the morning it was just me and Kyle in grill.  Kyle was cooking food and I was doing everything else.  We got pretty busy for first thing in the morning and I was running my ass off.  Even when Kyle was caught up with his job he would just lean against the grill and stare at me!  I can't stand that creepy little man.  He used to be one of our hardest workers and now he is just an asshole.  I don't know what's gotten into him.  He treats my mother like crap too.  She thinks he has it in for us.  I think he is just a rat bastard.  The rest of the day went a little better.  I went home and finished Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows before getting ready to see my dad.  Here is my official take on the book: It was good.  It was very different than the first six books.  Not just the darker tone and the deaths of so many supporting characters.  The structure was different.  I missed the old set up.  I still very much enjoyed the book, don't get me wrong.  It had lots of action and humor and a very satisfying ending.  I recommend it.  It's just different.  My dad and I had dinner at Mexico Joe's.  I built my own burrito.  Yummy!  We went to see the movie The Seeker.  It was good.  Not great, but good.  It was a little predictable and a little corny but still pretty fun.  It had the guy that played Ephram on Everwood in it.  I miss Everwood.

Saturday:  Work sucked.  I was in back drive for all of breakfast.  I've gotten to where I sometimes prefer back drive.  This was not one of those days.  People were rude and stupid all day.  I had a couple of customers tell me I didn't know what I was doing.  I was so mad.  I was so ready to tell someone off.  I got to make sandwiches for lunch.  That went a lot better.  I went home and took a two hour nap.  That was nice.  I read a few comics and watched a couple shows I had recorded, Doctor Who and Flash Gordon.  The guy that plays Flash is hot!  Even with my nap I still went to be a little early.  Guess I was tired or something.

Sunday: Work only sucked a little.  I was in back drive again, but it went a lot better.  People were much nicer for the most part.  I only got out of drive for the last hour.  Then Nick pulled me up front.  I don't really like working the front, but it went pretty well.  I mostly only ran for front counter.  My mom and I got Joseppi's to go for lunch.  I had the meat and cheese lasagna.  Wonderful!  We played some more FFX.  Still in those stupid hidden ruins.  Managed to level up my party a little though.  At least that was something.  Went home and read some comics and watched The Simpsons, King of the Hill, Family Guy and American Dad.  Much fun.

Monday:  Work sucked again.  This time I was in grill by myself.  Cooking and all.  I found myself missing Kyle, that's how bad it was.  It was only a couple hours and I got help, but that was plenty long enough.  Saundra helped a little.  I was glad for it.  Monroe was home when I got off.  I decided not to let it bother me.  I bought us McDonald's for lunch.  I got see my old friend Wendy at 6th street.  We had Hamburger Helper for dinner. It was really good.  We watched How I Met Your Mother, The Big Bang Theory, Heroes, and Journeyman on tv.  It was fun.

Tuesday:  Work was much better.  We had an extra opener.  I got to have Rose help me in grill.  She is such a better helper than Kyle.  She checks up on me and asks if I need anything.  Such a better experience.  We ran out of burritos right when I had to go take Jennifer's place in back drive.  I had to leave Rose in the middle of an order.  I hated to, but I had an order to take care of in drive.  I was hoping to only be there for a couple hours but I was there rest of breakfast.  For lunch I got stuck cooking meat.  Blah, I hate cooking.  When I took over the grill we were holding on regular meat and had only one tray of quarter meat.  I could not catch up for the life of me.  My little Mexican friends did this to me and I think they did it intentionally.  They were to busy standing around talking.  Luckily my friend Heather helped me catch up.  I was so, so mad at first.  Once I was caught up I cooled off.  I was ready to leave though.  Went to my mom's to do laundry.  We had lunch at Hunan's.  General Tso's!  We played FFX.  Stupid ruins.  Went grocery shopping at Wal-Mart.  I watched Reaper on tv at home.  It was pretty cool.

Wednesday:  Days off are awesome.  Slept in.  I did my usual weekly chores-dishes, trash, mail.  Still trying to catch up on recorded Doctor Whos and Flash Gordons.  I read some comics and started going through the new Previews catalog.  Monroe and I had tacos for dinner.  Then I came to the library to use their computers.  It's been a slow day.  I like those.

  • Not much going on. Let's Review:

Sunday:  Work was boring and stupid.  My mom and I got lunch from Arby's.  We went to her house and played Final Fantasy X.  It was very fun.  I'm disappointed I only get to play it a couple days a week.  I know the game is forever old, but it's the first time I've played it and I'm enjoying the hell out of it.  Went home and watched The Simpsons, King of the Hill, Family Guy, and American Dad.  That was fun too.

Monday: Spent part of the day at work putting up parts of the Monopoly in store advertising stuff.  That was kind of cool.  It's different and keeps me away from customers.  Monopoly is a bitch though.  Not looking forward to it.  I went home and fell asleep trying to read a comic book (Countdown to Mystery).  Later I watched Heroes and Journeyman.  Cool shows.

Tuesday: Work was not as bad as I thought considering it was the first day of Monopoly.  Had lunch with mom at Hunan's. Love me some General Tso's.  Did my laundry at her house and played a little more FFX.  We went to Wal-Mart and she took me home.  Tried to watch tv but there was nothing on.  Read a comic (The Flash) and a little bit of Harry Potter.

Wednesday:  Sleeping in on your day off is so, so nice.  I cleaned the apartment, read a few comics (Green Arrow/Black Canary Wedding Special; New X-Men, Superman/Batman), decorated the apartment for Halloween and that is about it for the day.  Got dinner for Monroe and I from McDonald's.  Now I'm hanging at the library.

That's about it.  Pretty lame, I know.  Maybe there's more exciting stuff coming next week.

  • Hello Everybody!

Things have been interesting at my job I hate.  The McDonald's inside Wal-Mart shut down, so now we have a bunch of it's employees working for us.  Most of them are kind of blah.  Saundra is an older lady who is good at her job but kind of all business.  Kathleen seemed kind of the same at first but she's started to open up a bit.  Kaneesa also doesn't really talk much, but seems good at her job.  Jennifer worked for us before and is really freaking slow.  Their manager Charity is back with us.  Joy.  She is here purely for the paycheck and I think it shows.  She says snippy things sometimes that tick my mom off.  I don't care much for that.  Most seem kind of annoyed they work at a different store.  I think they're just pissed cause they actually have to work now.  Wal-Mart was very, very low volume store.  All our Mexican employees seem scared they're about to be deported.  One has been and another quit and is working somewhere else now.  If they are not legal it serves them right if you ask me.

Monroe went to New Orleans recently with his friend Josh for Southern Decadence.  Monroe seemed to be equally annoyed and excited to be home.  He said Josh complained the whole time.  He demanded a different hotel room because he didn't like their's, he almost packed up their stuff and left while Monroe wasn't even there, he almost go them kicked out, he never wanted to out but complained he was bored, he parked in a no-parking zone and got his car towed, and almost got them arrested for making a wrong turn or something.  Monroe said he had fun going to clubs and dancing without Josh though (things Josh doesn't like to do anyway).  I don't think they'll go on another trip like that again.  Not any time soon anyway.

I've been playing God of War recently.  It's as good as people say.  My mom bought it and played it once.  She didn't care for it.  I didn't think she would and tried to dissuade her from getting it.  I enjoyed it and have borrowed it.  It is much fun.  I could live without the boobies though.  Maybe that's just me.

I got to see my dear old friend Chris last week.  He and Nicole were in town because she was at OSU recruiting people for Target.  She has been working for Target about three years now and is doing very well.  She is in charge of guest services at a Super Target in Tulsa and has been put on their recruitment team.  I'm pretty happy for her.  Chris is a manager at a McDonald's in Tulsa.  Hard to imagine.  He went from maintenance to management in a month.  He likes it pretty well.  He says most of his crew are either lesbians or drug addicts or both.  Chris and Nikki have a nice house with their two little dogs Cricket (who I miss terribly) and Junebug (the new kid).  They just got back from seeing Las Vegas with Darren and Michael.  Lucky bitches.  Chris said our friends Steph and Dan are back in Oklahoma and have one kid and another on the way.  It's hard to imagine them as parents.  It was so cool to see him.  He stopped by my store and asked Tara about me.  She called me to get my apartment number and I almost didn't answer her.  I am so glad I did.  It was awesome seeing him.  I wish I could have seen Nicole too.  Hopefully I can get Monroe to take me to see them sometime soon.
